Hello, I'm Elizabeth Carol and I'm a mom of two wonderful children, my son is 30, my daughter is 24 and two beautiful granddaughters. I was born in Florida and have lived here most of my life. I love the smell of orange blossoms on a cool spring morning. I fell in love with photography way back in middle school when the first picture I took was so bad that I felt I could do better.... and that was the start of my quest to learn photography. So I read as many books, magazines and catalogs that I could get my hands on. I learned when our only option was film and boy oh boy the film I went through!! The days before my children, our pets were my main focus, but when my babies were born, they had a camera pointed at them all the time. The more I studied and more images I took, the better I got, the better I wanted to be. With every session I strive to create the images that bring joy to the hearts of my subjects and their families. God gave me the passion for photography early in life and that's all I've ever wanted to do as a profession.
I was a stay at home mom... well kinda sorta, I volunteered for 11 years in the Volusia County schools helping out in the classrooms, field trips, writing the school newsletter, created a yearbook, book fairs, fundraising events and serving on the PTO board for three years. I also like to help out the Flagler Humane Society taking pictures and donating sessions and prints for their fundraising.
I have a commercial studio located at 2751 Enterprise Rd. in Orange City. There are lots of props and backgrounds to choose from. My specialty is people photography and yes, our beloved pets are people too. Some of my photography includes family portraits, high school seniors, maternity and newborn portraits, children portraits, events, model and business headshots and children's theme portraits which include but are not limited to: fairies in the garden, Victorian parlor, children sitting on a fishing dock, whiskey barrel washtub cowboy in a full farm setting and this is only to name a few. I've owned many animals in my life and know firsthand how important they are to our families. Some of my pets have normal ones like dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, gerbils, rabbits and guinea pigs while others have been, well.... not so normal... lol... like my pet skunk named Marvin La Pu, an opossum named Petronilla, snakes, lizards, and mice... my mom said no to having a rat!.. lol I would love to create everlasting portraits of your furry or not-so-furry family members for you to cherish. I have a Certificate of Completion from ADPT (Association of Professional Dog Trainers) for the class 'Dog Training 101: What All Beginning Trainers Should Know' and will continue my education keeping me up-to-date on handling your beloved dog creating a stress free environment for your pet and you!! While you're here, please grab a cup of your favorite beverage and check out my galleries and enjoy your journey through my love of photography. Thank you for taking the time to read my 'about me'... I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
